They should have made it so that you could only acquire the DA if you linked both Proph CE and the Proph preorder pack =D. How easy is it to find those preorders these days?

not only would you get da then but also nonmax collector weapons :P
ithas bow ftl
the first pre-order pack weapons are significantly worse than current pre-order weapons. the only good pre-order weapon for prophecies was the chimeric prism for europeans only....if you used it on a warrior it'd give you 16 armor and 5 energy

I've got a small stack of them somewhere around here that I picked up at Target for $.25 each. And you can certainly find them on ebay yet.

Pre-order boxes? I didn't know Target had a pre-order box, much less an item.

You know what Special Edition Prophecies shouldn't of had divine aura in the first place! It should have been only for CE! only

When did the SE have the DA? Last I checked, it did not.

The censor's icon was kinda the generic preorder item for North America. If a store didn't have a special preorder (like eb and the Ithas bow) the preorder box always was the censor's icon.

Are you willing to sell any of those extras? If so, pm me. I would be interested.

So hate when people put in posts things like “cry me a river” or “get a life” that really helps the discussion… also please people don’t take the arguments for or against personal.
From reading I have tried to summarise the arguments to get the topic away from a flame war
People with CE don’t want DA released, arguments for not having it for sale
• They have it as a special thank you for supporting A-Net.
• Would cheapen the emote
• They won’t have bragging rights anymore (just stirring
• They will leave the game if they re-release the emote or CE
• Shows how long players have been supporting the game
• Anet said it would never be for sale and was exclusive to the one time print run.
• People who had the CE will be in an outrage because something that was theirs was lost. There was no point in buying the CE if they could get the stuff online.
•
People who don’t have it want it. Arguments for selling it
• Cost over $300 online i.e. E-bay $$ not going to the game makers but to the people who are selling accounts, no guarantee that purchase account is unused.
• Never had access to the CE in local area due to low stocks or not local supplier
• Larger player base now
• Could attract more new players to the first game, this would help with the diffusion of player base between prophesies, factions and nightfall
• Could raise funds for server and game development.
• Extra $$ for a pay rise to A-net employees
• My dolls character would be able to dance with glowing hands
•
A-Net stuck in the middle, wish this topic would die
• Made promise to never re-release after initial CE run
• Don’t have resources to revisit old games
• Can’t see why so much fuss over an emote
• Idea went against the policies they set out for themselves before the game even went on sale. It is in their interest to keep player confidence and stick with what they say they're going to do.
The final decision will probably be based on 3 things first would be on past Anet promises, the player reaction and the bottom line.
If the decision is to not add divine aura to the shop GW life will go on, if they add it GW life will go on. In the end the emote is purely eye candy and as it turns out I am on a diet anyway

1. I highly doubt that those who don't have Prophecies now would go buy it IF they can buy the CE now.
2. The whole "More money for ANet" thing is very lame, at best. I would say that some people raise such excuse just to make their arguements sound more reasonable, which in reality it doesn't really help much. You know and I know we both couldn't care less about ANet's profit, especially when all of us seem to come out here and demand several stuff for free, DAILY.
Besides, nobody knows how much money ANet would get from 1 CE box. Who knows, they might get even less from CEs than from the normal edition. And if ANet really wants to make money, there'd be many other ways to do so without hurting anyone (like this idea).

Other than a few people on here, I don't know anyone with the CE that would mind others being able to obtain DA by purchasing it or however. That's only more money to the company that can be put into other improvements to the game or continued development.
